TDA724 Pinout
The audio amplifier circuit is designed in bridge (BTL) mode configuration and will provide a maximum output power of 20 watts on a 4 ohms load. The maximum output power can be obtained using a 2 ohms load , in this case output power will be around 26 watts . Also you can use a 8 ohms load , but in this case , output power will be around 12 watts.

Note:
  • Use 12V - 15V DC for powering the circuit.
  • Fit the TDA724 IC to a proper heatsink.

30W Audio Amplifier by TDA7296 IC

This audio power amplifier circuit is an other power amplifier based on TDA IC. The TDA7296 audio amplifier is a is a class AB amplifier which can be used in Hi-Fi applications (Home Stereo, self powered loudspeakers, Topclass TV). The maximum output power obtained amplifier circuit is around 60 watts .

TDA7296 Pinout
The maximum power 60 watts is obtained with a power supply around VS = ± 29V on 8 ohms load impedance ; VS = ± 24V on 6 ohms load impedance ; VS = ± 22V on 4 ohms load impedance with 10% total harmonic distortions .

Using a power supply around VS = ± 24V on 8 ohms load impedance ; VS = ± 21V on 6 ohms load impedance ; VS = ± 18V on 4 ohms load impedance the maximum power delivered by amplifier is 30W but the total harmonic distortion is around 0.5% . Main features of this amplifier circuit are: high output power, high operating voltage 30V, muting and stand-by functions , thermal shutdown and short circuit protections

BTL Amplifier Using LA4550 IC

This LA4550 amplifier circuit is wired in bridge mode (BTL mode). For stereo application, two identical amplifier modes have to be built according to the circuit diagram. The LA4550 can be operated from 12 Vdc and can deliver 4W of output power into an 8 ohm speaker.
Circuit of BTL  Amplifier  Using LA4550
LA4550 IC
LA4550 is a 2 channel audio frequency power amplifier IC specifically designed for radio, tape-recorder use etc. The features of LA4550 are low quiescent current, built in 2 channels for stereo and bridge mode operation, excellent ripple rejection, good channel separation, negligible pop-up noise during power ON/OFF.

Note:
  • Maximum possible supply voltage is 13V.
  • An optional 10K POT connected in series to the input line can be used as the volume control.

STK4038 II Power Amplifier Circuit

Using the STK4038 II IC, can be designed a very simple high power amplifier and efficiency audio power amplifier . This amplifier circuit is manufactured by Sanyo Corporation and will provide a output power of 60 watts on a 8 ohms load or 4 ohms load with 0.008% distortion . If you will use a 8 ohms load you must power this STK4038 II amplifier project from a dual +/- 40 volts DC power supply and if you’ll use a 4 ohms load you must power this audio project form a dual +/- 33.5 volts DC power source.
STK4038 II Audio Power Amplifier Circuit
The output power that is provided by this audio IC , can be more higher , but with more distortion. Capacitor C4.7uF is the input DC decoupling capacitor which blocks any DC level present in the audio input and C470p is the input by-pass capacitor. R1k is the input resistor. 2 x C10uF are the ripple filter capacitors for the positive and negative power supply rails. 2 X R100 are the current limiting resistors for the internal driver stage while 2 x C100uF are their corresponding filter capacitors. Resistor 56K feeds back a portion of the output signal to the inverting input (pin2). Gain of the amplifier depends on the value of resistor feeds back R56K tersebutt. C0.1uF and R4.7 forms a Zobel network which improves the high frequency stability of the amplifier.
